Brunnr

Privacy Policy

Last updated 4 October 2026

Brunnr is a workspace for students: notes you can type and write on, your class files, tasks and a calendar, kept together in Spaces. This policy covers the Brunnr apps for Mac and iPad, the iPad share extension, the Brunnr extension for Chrome, and this website. "Brunnr", "we" and "us" mean Brunnr, Inc.

What is collected

What is not collected

There is no analytics, advertising or tracking code in the apps, the extensions or this website, and this website sets no cookies. Brunnr does not use your notes, ink or files to train AI models.

The iPad app uses the camera only when you choose to scan a document, and keeps only the pages you save. It does not access your location, contacts or photo library.

The Chrome extension

The extension sends nothing except the tabs you explicitly choose to save. It cannot read the content of any page you visit: it does not request permission to run on websites, and it has no ability to do so.

When you save a tab or a window, its address and title are sent to your own Brunnr account so the tab can be shown and reopened later. The extension also stores your sign-in session in your browser's local storage, so it can prove who you are when it saves something.

The iPad share extension

When you share a link or a file to Brunnr from another app, only that item is sent, to the Space you choose. The extension cannot see anything you do not share with it.

How it is used

Only to provide Brunnr: to show you your own data on your devices, keep them in sync, and sign you in. Your data is not sold, not shared with third parties for their own purposes, and not used for advertising, profiling, or credit decisions. If Brunnr ever adds features that process your content with AI, this policy will say how before they launch.

Where it is stored

These providers process data on Brunnr's behalf in order to run the service, and may store it in the United States.

Brunnr shares your data with no one else, except where the law requires it.

Deleting your data

You can delete Spaces, notes, files, tasks and saved tabs from inside Brunnr at any time. Disconnecting a service in Settings deletes the tokens and credentials stored for it. To delete your account and everything in it, email the address below and it will be removed.

Signing out of the Chrome extension clears the session it kept in your browser.

Children

Brunnr is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect their data.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the top of this page changes with it.
